Does AppendPDF support PDF Forms?
No. AppendPDF does not work properly with any PDF file that contains Form fields. There are no plans to support forms with AppendPDF or AppendPDF Pro. However, you may want to look at our other product, FormAssembler http://www.appligent.com/products/form_assembler/form_assembler.php

Does AppendPDF support encrypted / secure files?
No - AppendPDF will not work with encrypted or write-protected files. Full permissions on all files and paths are required for AppendPDF to work properly. AppendPDF does have the ability to apply standard Acrobat security to the appended output file.

What PDF versions does AppendPDF support?
AppendPDF supports PDF version 1.2, 1.3, 1.4, 1.5, 1.6 and 1.7 files.

Does AppendPDF support Acrobat Threads?
No, AppendPDF does not support Acrobat threads at this time. IMPORTANT NOTE: Acrobat Threads are -not- the same as server threads. AppendPDF and our SPDF library are completely thread safe.

Can I prevent on-screen progress messages from also appearing in a log file?
At this time you cannot have progress messages written to the screen (using -p) and not written to a log file.

Does AppendPDF support Acrobat articles?
No - AppendPDF does not support articles. If your documents have articles and you append them, an error box will pop up in your Acrobat window on viewing.

Does AppendPDF support Named Destination Bookmarks?
Yes, AppendPDF verson 2.7 and later supports named destination bookmarks. If you have an eariler version that does not support these types of bookmarks and you would like to upgrade please contact our Sales Department.

Can the number of bookmarks contained in a PDF cause processing to be slow?
When used with the -b option, PDFs containing hundreds of bookmarks may cause increased processing time. On rare occasion, some of these PDFs have generated a "bad master index" error and processing failure. These PDFs normally process -without- error when the -b option is not used.

Why don't my links work after appending?
Non-Named Destination Links should work in your appended documents unless you are only appending a portion of a document where the link destination page is not included within the new appended file. Check the link value to make sure you have appended all the pages needed for your links to work.
